Sarah Safi Harb The Dance Movement

Sarah Safi Harb is the founder and main dance teacher of The Dance Movement. Sarah is originally from Lebanon and integrates her Belly Dance and oriental background in her classes. Her vision is that every person has their own way of movement and dancing, she encourages people to find their own style and express their uniqueness. As it doesn’t matter how you dance, but how you feel and what you express while dancing!

She received her Zumba Basic certificate in August 2010, her Zumba Kids certificate in October 2010, and her Zumba Gold (Zumba for elderly) certficate in England in February 2013.

She has taught Zumba classes at Salseros (summer 2010), InTension Scheveningen, K’Dans(11/2010), Ladies Gym (2010-2011) Fitness First Delft (2010), Max Health Club (2010-2011), Rhythm Sports (2011-2013), Mulder Sports. She currently teaches Zumba classes at Caeser Fitness & spa resort, The Fitness House and Zumba Kids classes for child day care center 2Samen.

In November 2010 she decided in order to fully express her personal teaching style she would need to have her own space and classes. So she started teaching her own Zumba Classes at De Grote Pyr in The Hague, which remain till this day absolute parties with good vibes everytime!

In the summer of 2012 she organized het first successful Zumbathon Charity event benefiting Proefdiervrij.

In the summer of 2013 she organized her second Zumbathon Charity event benefiting Lebanon, and used the proceeds to aid the people in need in Lebanon and organize a fun day of activities for children in an orphanage in September.

In the summer of 2013 (till present) she started offering Zumba classes on the beach every summer at Strandpaviljoen de Kwartel.

During the summer of 2013 she came up with the concept of a new class called Dance Salad; a playful cultural dance class for learning different world dances and discovering their cultural background and history. She started teaching this class at Cloud at Danslab in The Hague in October 2013.

In the summer of 2014 she organized her third Zumbathon Charity event ” Give Peace a Dance” benefiting the middle east and promoting peace through dance and movement arts.

In 2014 (till present) she started teaching weekly Belly Dance classes at de Grote Pyr. The classes are focused on learning basic Belly Dance techniques, having fun and celebrating femininity.

In 2014 she started her Yoga teacher training and received her 200 hour Anusara Yoga certification in 2016. She uses Yoga to broaden her knowledge of anatomy & movement and ensure students are dancing and moving safely.

Always up for organizing fun events and activities such as Valentine’s, Christmas, Halloween and 80’s & 90’s Zumba parties!

But more than anything she is looking forward to meet you and dance with you!
